Adult Intensive Chamber Music Workshop
Festival Institute at Round Top
May 15-18, 2008
Join the Austin Chamber Music Center for a long weekend of intensive, interactive, and invigorating chamber music for adult amateur instrumentalists of all levels in the sublime atmosphere of Festival Hill at Round Top, Texas’ premiere festival destination.
Internationally renowned professional musicians coach and play with participating amateur musicians. Ensembles are formed based on taped audition demonstrating similar experience, skills, and levels. Pre-formed groups are also accepted.
Most repertoire assigned and distributed in advance.
Daily activities include:
- coaching/rehearsal sessions
- special topic seminars
- larger ensemble reading sessions
- master classes
- improvisation
- music-movies
- artist teacher and participant concerts
- other recreation activities
